Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight.

But they were kept from recognizing him.

When he said that, they picked up stones to kill him. But Jesus slipped out of sight and left the temple area.

but Jesus walked right through the crowd and went on his way.

The people who lived there recognized Jesus and sent word all over the nearby countryside. They brought all the sick to Jesus
