But they were kept from recognizing him.
Early in the morning Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples didn’t realize that it was Jesus.
she answered. Then she turned around and saw Jesus standing there. But she didn’t realize that it was Jesus.
Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight.
After that, Jesus appeared to two of them while they were walking out in the country. They didn’t recognize him at first because he didn’t look the way they expected.
As they talked about those things, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them.
Jesus asked them, “What are you talking about as you walk along?” They stood still and their faces were sad.
