But the apostles didn’t believe the women, because their words didn’t make any sense to them.
When they heard that Jesus was alive and that she’d seen him, they didn’t believe it.

Peter followed him out of the prison, but he had no idea that what the angel was doing was really happening. He thought he was seeing a vision.

Later Jesus appeared to the 11 disciples as they were eating. He had strong words for them for being so unbelieving and hard-hearted. He told them they should have believed the people who’d seen him after he rose from the dead.
But they still couldn’t believe it because they were too delighted and amazed. So Jesus asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”
