After that, Judas from Galilee came along, in the days when the Romans made everyone register to pay taxes. Judas started a revolt, but he too was killed, and all his followers were scattered.

Then some people in the crowd told Jesus about what had happened to certain Galileans whose blood Pilate mixed with their sacrifices.

Meanwhile, Peter was sitting out in the courtyard. A female servant came up to him and said, “You also were with Jesus of Galilee.”

But they insisted, “His teaching stirs up the people all over Judea. He started in Galilee and has come all the way here.”

When he learned that Jesus came from Herod’s area of authority, he sent Jesus over to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem at that time.
