When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that people in Samaria had accepted God’s word, they sent Peter and John there.

But Peter and John replied, “Which is right from God’s point of view? For us listen to you, or to God? You be the judges!

The leaders knew that Peter and John were ordinary, untrained men, and so they were amazed by how boldly they spoke. They recognized that the two of them had been with Jesus.

The man kept holding on to Peter and John. All the people were amazed, and crowds came running up to the three of them at the place called Solomon’s Porch.

One day Peter and John were going up to the temple. It was three o’clock in the afternoon, the time for prayer.

Both of them did what was right in God’s sight; they obeyed all of the Lord’s commands and instructions faithfully.

Jesus answered, “Please agree to this. It’s right for us to do everything that God is asking of people now.” So then John agreed.

“Where do you want us to prepare for it?” they asked.

When the man saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money.

James, Peter, and John, who are respected as pillars in the church, recognized that God had given me this privilege. So they shook hands with Barnabas and me to welcome us as partners. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles while they went to the Jews.
