“Then he said to those standing by, ‘Take his money away from him and give it to the one who has ten times as much.’

The rich man called him in and said, ‘What’s this I hear about you? Turn in your accounts, because you can’t be my manager anymore.’

“But God said to him, ‘You foolish man! Tonight, you are going to die. And then who will to get all the things you collected for yourself?’

He sent for ten of his slaves and gave each of them about three months’ worth of wages. ‘Put this money to work until I come back,’ he said.

Then why didn’t you put my money in the bank? That way I could have collected it with interest when I came back.’

“ ‘Sir,’ they said, ‘he already has ten times as much!’
