“Then the man who’d received one bag of gold came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you were a hard man. You harvest where you haven’t planted, and you gather crops where you haven’t scattered seed.

If anyone knows there’s something good they should do, but they don’t do it, that’s a sin for them.

He sent for ten of his slaves and gave each of them about three months’ worth of wages. ‘Put this money to work until I come back,’ he said.

“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ but not do what I say?

The ax is already poised at the root of the trees, and all the trees that don’t produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”

“His master answered, ‘I’m going to put you in charge of five towns.’

And the dead man came out. His hands and feet were wrapped with strips of linen and there was a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Unwrap him and let him go.”

and he saw the funeral cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen.
