He answered, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Jesus answered, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do what was done to the fig tree. You can even say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.

It’s like a mustard seed that someone took and planted in a garden. It grew and became such a big tree that the birds could sit in its branches.”

If I have the gift of prophecy and can understand all the secret things of God and know everything about him, and if I have enough faith to move mountains, but I don’t have love, I’m nothing at all.

So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree so he could see Jesus, since Jesus was coming that way.

It’s like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth.
