Barnabas was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith. When he arrived and saw what God’s grace had done, he was very happy. He told them all to remain true to the Lord with their whole hearts. Even more people came to know the Lord.
But even if my life is going to be poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I’ll be glad and joyful with all of you.
The church sent them on their way, and as they traveled through Phoenicia and Samaria, they told how the Gentiles had turned to God. This news made all the believers very glad.
The bride belongs to the groom. The friend who helps the groom waits and listens for him, and he’s filled with joy when he hears the groom’s voice. That joy is mine, and now it is complete.
I tell you, it will be the same in heaven. There will be more celebration for one sinner who turns away from sin than for 99 godly people who don’t have sins they need to turn away from.
