“Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you sit down first and figure out how much it will cost? Then you’ll know whether you have enough money to finish it.
Everyone will hate you because of me. But anyone who stands firm to the end will be saved.
You have to ask the same kind of question, because if you don’t give up everything you have, you can’t be my disciple.
He asked, “Why are you crying? Why are you breaking my heart? I’m ready to be put in prison. I’m even ready to die in Jerusalem for the Lord Jesus.”
Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”
Whoever doesn’t carry their cross and follow me can’t be my disciple.
If you start building but aren’t able to finish, everyone who sees it will laugh at you.
