Don’t take a purse or a bag or sandals, and don’t stop to greet anyone on the road.

Then Jesus asked the disciples, “Did you lack anything when I sent you without a purse, bag, or sandals?” “Nothing,” they answered.

He called for the 12 disciples and began to send them out two by two, giving them authority to drive out evil spirits.
