He replied, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind,’ and, ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ ”
There’s a commandment that says, “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” That one command sums up all the others, including “Do not commit adultery,” “Do not commit murder,” “Do not steal,” and, “Don’t want what belongs to others.”
This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel after that time, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
My brothers and sisters, you were called to be free. But don’t use your freedom as an excuse to live under the power of sin. Instead, serve one another humbly in love.
