His neighbors and the people who used to watch him begging asked, “Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?”
As Jesus was approaching Jericho, a man who was blind was sitting by the side of the road begging.
Then Jesus and his disciples went through Jericho. As they were leaving the city, a large crowd was with them. A blind man named Bartimaeus (which means Son of Timaeus) was sitting by the side of the road begging.
Her neighbors and relatives heard how good the Lord had been to her and they shared her joy.
Some claimed that it was. Others said, “No, it only looks like him.” But the man who’d been blind kept saying, “Yes, I’m that man.”
