Jesus spoke to the people again and said, “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in darkness. They will have the light of life.”
Then Jesus told them, “You’re going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness catches up with you. Whoever walks in the dark doesn’t know where they’re going.
God didn’t spare the angels when they sinned. Instead, he sent them to hell and chained them up in dark prisons. He’s holding them there until the day of judgment.
They said the Messiah would suffer but then be the first to rise from the dead, and that he would bring the message of light to the Jews and to the Gentiles.”
They’re like wild waves of the sea—their shame rises up like foam. They’re like stars that don’t stay in place. God has reserved very great darkness for them forever.
Some of the angels abandoned their positions of authority and didn’t stay where they belonged. The Lord is keeping those angels in darkness, bound with chains that last forever, until judgment day.
