Others said, “He’s the Messiah.” Still others asked, “How can the Messiah come from Galilee?
They answered, “Are you from Galilee too? Look into it—you’ll find that no prophet is going to come out of Galilee.”
“Nazareth!” Nathanael responded. “Can anything good come from there?” “Come and see,” Philip answered.
Still, many people in the crowd believed in him. They asked, “When the Messiah comes, will he do more signs than this man?”
We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”
They told the woman, “At first we believed because of what you said. But now we’ve heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”
“Come and see a man who told me everything I’ve ever done. Could this be the Messiah?”
The woman said, “I know that the Messiah is coming, the one called the Christ. When he comes, he’ll explain everything to us.”
Nathanael replied, “Rabbi, you’re the Son of God! You’re the king of Israel!”
The first thing Andrew did was find his brother Simon and tell him, “We’ve found the Messiah!” (Messiah means Christ.)
But we know where this man is from. When the Messiah comes, no one will know where he’s from.”
