When you worked for sin, the pay you got from it was death. But now you’re working for God because you’ve gotten a gift: eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up on the last day,

“Truly I tell you, whoever who hears my word and believes in the one who sent me has eternal life. They will not be judged, because they have crossed over from death into life.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even if they die.

But anyone who drinks the water I give them will never get thirsty. In fact, the water I give them will become a spring of water inside them bubbling up into eternal life.”

Before long, the world won’t see me anymore, but you’ll see me. Because I live, you too will live.

The one who looks at me sees the one who sent me.

Don’t work for food that spoils, but for food that lasts forever. Work for the food that the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has put his seal of approval on him.”

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever who does not obey the Son will not see life, because God’s anger remains on them.

The Word became human and made his home with us. We have seen his glory the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

because I have seen your salvation with my own eyes.

And this is what God has promised us: eternal life.

You’ve given him authority over all people so that he can give eternal life to all those you’ve given him.

I give them eternal life, and they will never die. No one will steal them out of my hand.

Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you eternal life.

Even though you’ve never seen Jesus, you love him. Though you don’t see him now, you believe in him and you’re filled with a glorious joy that can’t be put into words.

God said, “Let light shine out of darkness.” And he made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light we needed to know God’s glory, which is shown in the face of Christ.

When sin ruled, it brought death. But when grace rules in the lives of those who are right with God, it brings eternal life. This is all because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done.

I know that his command leads to eternal life, so everything I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”

Your father Abraham was filled with joy at the thought of seeing my day. He saw it and was glad.”

Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved, but anyone who doesn’t believe will be condemned.

Faith is having confidence in what we hope for and being sure of what we don’t see.

By faith Moses left Egypt. He knew this would make Pharaoh angry, but he wasn’t afraid. He didn’t let anything stop him, because he saw the God who can’t be seen.

That helper is the Spirit of truth. The world can’t accept him because it doesn’t see him or know him. But you know him because he lives with you and will be in you.

Truly I tell you, on judgment day it will be easier for Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.

“Then they will go away to be punished forever, but those who did what was right will receive eternal life.”

And the one who sent me doesn’t want me to lose any of those he has given me. He wants me to raise them up on the last day.

“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me attracts them. Then I will raise them up on the last day.

Martha answered, “I know he will rise again when people are raised from the dead on the last day.”
