So Peter and the other disciple started out for the tomb.
But Peter got up and ran to the tomb. He bent over and saw the strips of linen lying by themselves. Then he went away, wondering what had happened.
Both of them were running, but the other disciple ran faster than Peter and reached the tomb first.
