Then Jesus told him, “Because you’ve seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who haven’t seen me but have still believed.”

Even though you’ve never seen Jesus, you love him. Though you don’t see him now, you believe in him and you’re filled with a glorious joy that can’t be put into words.

We recognize this because we’re guided by faith, not by what we can see.

Faith is having confidence in what we hope for and being sure of what we don’t see.

By faith Moses left Egypt. He knew this would make Pharaoh angry, but he wasn’t afraid. He didn’t let anything stop him, because he saw the God who can’t be seen.

Blessed are you, because you believed the Lord would keep his promises to you!”

Jesus told him, “You people will never believe unless you see signs and wonders.”

The disciple who’d reached the tomb first then went inside. He saw and believed.

All these people were honored for their faith, but none of them received what God had promised.

But blessed are your eyes, because they see, and blessed are your ears, because they hear.

Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
