Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb. She saw that the stone had been moved away from the entrance.

When Jesus rose from the dead early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene. (He had driven seven demons out of her.)

and then he placed it in his own new tomb, which had been carved out of the rock. He rolled a big stone in front of the entrance to the tomb and then went away. But

Then Joseph bought some linen cloth, took the body down, wrapped it in the cloth, and put it in a tomb cut out of rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance to the tomb.

A week later, Jesus’ disciples were in the house again. This time Thomas was with them. Even though the doors were locked, Jesus came in and stood among them. He said, “May peace be with you!”

Jesus’ mother was standing near his cross, as was his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.

I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and I heard a loud voice behind me that sounded like a trumpet.

So give an order to make the tomb secure until the third day. If you don’t, his disciples might come and steal his body. Then they’ll tell the people that Jesus has risen from the dead, and that last lie will be worse than the first.”

On the first day of every week, each of you should put some money aside. The amount should be in keeping with how much you’ve made. Save up the money so you won’t have to take an offering when I come.

On the first day of the week we met with the believers to share a meal. Paul spoke to the people, and because he was planning to leave the next day, he kept on talking until midnight.

Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of Zebedee’s sons.

So they went and made the tomb secure by putting a royal seal on the stone and posting guards on duty.

After the Sabbath day was over, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came back to the tomb.

Just then there was a powerful earthquake. An angel of the Lord came down from heaven, went over to the tomb, rolled back the stone, and sat down on it.

Jesus came to the tomb, which was a cave with a stone in front of the entrance, and once again he was distressed.

So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you for hearing me.
