The seed on rocky ground stands for those who hear the message and receive it with joy, but who have no roots. They believe for a while, but when they are tested, they fall away from the faith.

When the people saw the sign that Jesus had done, they began to say, “This must be the Prophet who was supposed to come into the world!”

If a person believes in Christ Jesus, it doesn’t matter whether they’re circumcised or not. The only thing that matters is faith expressing itself through love.

Still, many people in the crowd believed in him. They asked, “When the Messiah comes, will he do more signs than this man?”

came to see Jesus one night. He said, “Rabbi, we know that you’re a teacher who has come from God, because no one could do the signs you’re doing unless God was with them.”

When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover Feast, Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

What Jesus did at Cana in Galilee was the first of his signs showing his glory. Because of it, his disciples believed in him.

When he arrived in Galilee, the people living there welcomed him. They’d seen everything he’d done in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast because they’d been there themselves.

“I have a witness even greater than John. The works the Father has given me to finish—the very works that I’m doing—are a witness that the Father has sent me.

A large crowd of people followed him because they’d seen the signs he’d done when he healed the sick.

Many of the Jews who’d come to visit Mary saw what Jesus did, and they believed in him.

And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.
