And whatever you say or do, let it be in the name of the Lord Jesus, as you give thanks to God the Father through him.

A woman has to stay married to her husband for as long as he lives. If he dies, she’s free to marry anyone she wants. But the man she marries must belong to the Lord.

Marriage should be honored by everyone and the marriage bed should be kept pure. God will judge anyone who commits adultery or any other sexual sin.

So whether you eat or drink or do anything else, do it all for the glory of God.

“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you failed to do for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you failed to do for me.’

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

He won’t argue or cry out; no one will hear his voice in the streets.

Here I am! I’ll keep standing at the door and knocking. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I’ll come in and eat with that person, and they’ll eat with me.

When the wine ran out, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They don’t have any wine left.”

After that, Jesus went down to Capernaum with his mother and brothers and his disciples. They all stayed there for a few days.

His disciples remembered that it was written, “I will be consumed with great love for your house.”

After he had been raised from the dead, his disciples remembered what he had said. Then they believed the Scripture and the words Jesus had spoken.

After this, Jesus and his disciples went out into the countryside of Judea. They spent some time together there and baptized people.

he left Judea and went back to Galilee. Jesus, however, was not in fact baptizing; his disciples were.

(His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)

Then his disciples asked each other, “Did someone bring him food?”

Another of his disciples spoke up. It was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. He said,

When everyone had enough to eat, Jesus told his disciples, “Collect the leftover pieces. Let’s not waste anything.”

When evening came, Jesus’ disciples went down to the Sea of Galilee.

Many of Jesus’ disciples said when they heard this, “This is an unpleasant message. Who can accept it?”

From this time on, many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.

Jesus asked the 12 disciples, “You don’t want to leave too, do you?”

Then Jesus replied, “Haven’t I chosen you 12 disciples? But one of you is a devil!”

(He meant Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, one of the 12 disciples, who was later going to hand Jesus over to his enemies.)

Jesus’ brothers told him, “Leave Galilee and go to Judea. That way your disciples there will be able to see the works that you do.

When he found him, he brought him back with him to Antioch. For a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught large numbers of people. It was there at Antioch that the disciples were first called Christians.

The disciples decided to send help to the brothers and sisters living in Judea. All of them gave as much as they could,
