“I’ve spoken openly to the world,” Jesus answered. “I’ve always taught in synagogues or at the temple, where all the Jews come together. I haven’t said anything in secret.

Here he is, speaking in public, and they’re not saying a word to him. Have the authorities really decided that he’s the Messiah?

Jesus went all over Galilee, teaching in the synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every illness and sickness that the people had.

Each day Jesus taught at the temple, and each evening he went to spend the night on the hill called the Mount of Olives.

No one who wants to be well known does things in secret. Since you’re doing these things, show yourself to the world.”

He began to teach in their synagogues, and everyone spoke well of him.

Then Jesus asked the crowd, “Why did you come here with swords and clubs to capture me, as if I’d been leading a rebellion? I was in the temple courtyard every day teaching, but you didn’t try to arrest me.

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every illness and sickness.

“I have much to say in judgment of you. But the one who sent me is trustworthy, and I’m telling the world what I’ve heard from him.”

First thing in the morning, Jesus came back into the temple courtyard. All the people gathered around him there, and he sat down to teach them.

Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple courtyard, cried out, “Yes, you know me, and you know where I’m from. I’m not here on my own authority. The one who sent me is true. You don’t know him,

When the feast was halfway over, Jesus went up to the temple courtyard and began to teach.

Then the high priest ripped his clothes and said, “This man has claimed to be God! Why do we need any more witnesses? You’ve heard what he said.

The king is familiar with these things, so I can speak freely to him. I’m sure he knows everything that has been going on. After all, it wasn’t done in a corner.

“So if anyone tells you, ‘He’s out in the desert,’ don’t go out there. And if anyone says, ‘He’s deep inside the house,’ don’t believe it.

He explained all this clearly. But Peter took him to one side and started to berate him.

He said this while he was teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.

So why are you questioning me? Ask the people who heard me. Certainly they know what I said.”
