“I’ve told you these things so that you can have peace because of me. In this world you’re going to have trouble. But be encouraged! I’ve already defeated the world.”

Peace I leave with you; I give my peace to you. I don’t give to you the way the world does. So don’t let your hearts be distressed, and don’t be afraid.

because everyone who’s a child of God has won the battle over the world. Our faith has won the battle for us.

May the Lord who gives peace give you peace at all times and in every way. May the Lord be with all of you.

But you, dear children, are from God, and you have defeated these enemies. That’s because the one who’s in you is greater than the one who’s in the world.

Then, in a way that’s too marvelous to understand, God’s peace will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Fight back against him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is going through the same kind of suffering.

“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe in me too.

In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be treated badly,

There they strengthened the disciples, encouraging them to remain faithful to what they’d been taught. “We have to go through many hard times to enter the kingdom of God,” they explained.

‘If anyone wins the victory, I’ll give that person the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I won the victory and sat down with my Father on his throne.

He chose to be treated badly with God’s people rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time.

I answered, “Sir, you know.” He said, “They’re the ones who’ve come out of the time of terrible suffering. They’ve washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Brothers and sisters, even though we’re still in trouble and suffering, you’ve encouraged us by your faith.

They won the victory over him by the blood of the Lamb and by speaking the truth about Jesus to others. They didn’t love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.

and to bring all things back to himself through what Christ has done, everything on earth and in heaven. God made peace through Christ’s blood, by his death on the cross.

May the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ be praised! He’s a Father who’s filled with compassion.

Finally, brothers and sisters, be joyful! Work to make everything right with one another. Encourage one another and agree with each other. Live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.

In fact, when we were with you, we kept telling you that our enemies would make us suffer, and it has turned out that way, as you know very well.

I don’t ever want to brag about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through that cross, the world has been crucified to me and I have been crucified to the world.

I’ve spoken to you very honestly. I’m very proud of you. I’m truly encouraged; even with all of our troubles, I’m overflowing with joy.

So men, be strong. I have faith in God that everything will happen just as he told me.

Jesus gave his life for our sins. He did this to set us free from the evil age we’re now living in.

Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. The church respected and obeyed the Lord and was encouraged by the Holy Spirit, and it grew even larger.

Now is the time for the world to be judged and for the prince of this world to be thrown out.

“Glory to God in the highest heaven! Peace on earth to all those he wants to bless!”

But now I beg you to be strong, because none of you are going to die. Only the ship will be destroyed.

“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!” “May there be peace and glory in the highest heaven!”

The next night the Lord stood near Paul and said, “Don’t be afraid! You’ve told people about me in Jerusalem, and you must do the same in Rome.”

Abraham gave him a tenth of everything he’d captured in the battle. First, the name Melchizedek means “king of what is right.” Then, “king of Salem” means “king of peace.”

They’re going to have to face judgment because the devil, the prince of this world, has already been judged.

Some men brought him one of their friends who couldn’t walk and was lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the man, “Don’t be discouraged, son. Your sins are forgiven.”

But thanks be to God, who always leads us as if we were prisoners in Christ’s victory parade. He uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere like perfume.

But we’re like clay jars that hold a valuable treasure. We carry the good news around in these earthly bodies of ours to show that its mighty power comes from God and not from us.

Instead, we try to show in every way that we’re genuine servants of God. We endure through troubles, hard times, and suffering.

Fathers, I’m writing to you because you know the one who is from the beginning. Young men, I’m writing to you because you’ve won the battle over the evil one.
