“I’ve been telling you things using images and stories. But a time is coming when I won’t use examples; I’ll tell you plainly about my Father.

Jesus taught the crowd all these things by telling stories. He didn’t say anything to them without using a story.

He explained all this clearly. But Peter took him to one side and started to berate him.

Jesus was using an example, but the Pharisees didn’t understand what he was telling them.
