But when the Spirit of truth comes, he’ll guide you into all the truth. He won’t speak on his own, he’ll speak only what he hears. He’ll tell you what’s still going to happen.
But the Father will send the Helper or Paraclete, the Holy Spirit, in my name to help you. The Spirit will teach you all things and remind you of everything I’ve said to you.
That helper is the Spirit of truth. The world can’t accept him because it doesn’t see him or know him. But you know him because he lives with you and will be in you.
“From the Father, I’m going to send you the Helper, the Spirit of truth, who comes out from the Father. When the Helper arrives, he’ll be a witness about me.
But you have the Holy Spirit flowing over you, and the Spirit continues to live in you. So you don’t need anyone to teach you. The Spirit teaches you about everything, and his presence in you is real, not fake. So remain in Christ, just as you’ve been taught.
But we are from God, and whoever knows God listen to us. But whoever isn’t from God doesn’t listen to us. That’s how we can tell the difference between the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falseness.
Don’t let anyone trick you in any way. That day won’t come until people rise up against God and the man of sin appears. He’s a marked man, headed for ruin.
The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must happen soon. God made it known by sending his angel to his servant John.
The angel said, ‘Don’t be afraid, Paul. You need to get to Rome to stand trial before Caesar, and God will generously spare the lives of all those sailing with you.’
One of them, named Agabus, stood up and said through the Spirit that there would be a famine all over the world, which happened when Claudius was emperor.
This is the one who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ. He didn’t come by water only, but by water and blood. The Spirit is a truthful witness about this, because the Spirit is the truth.
