Jesus said, “If you were blind, you wouldn’t be guilty of sin. But since you claim you can see, you remain guilty.

If anyone knows there’s something good they should do, but they don’t do it, that’s a sin for them.

In the past, God didn’t judge people for what they didn’t know, but now he commands all people everywhere to turn away from their sins.

Ever since the world was created, the invisible qualities of God have been visible in everything he has made. Those qualities are his eternal power and his nature as God. So people have no excuse for what they do.

But there is a judge for anyone who doesn’t accept me and my words. The words I’ve spoken will judge them on the last day.

Live as free people, but don’t use your freedom to cover up evil. Live as people who are God’s slaves.

So when you judge someone else, you don’t have any excuse. When you judge another person, you’re judging yourself, because you do the same things you blame others for doing.

His master will come back on a day and at a time when he isn’t expecting him, and he will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.

Jesus answered, “You wouldn’t have any power over me if it hadn’t been given to you from heaven. So the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.”

Whoever hates me hates my Father too.

If I hadn’t done works among them that no one else had done, they wouldn’t be guilty of sin. But now they’ve seen those works and they’ve still hated both me and my Father.

They’re guilty of sin because they don’t believe in me.
