We know the earthly tent we live in will be destroyed. But we have a building made by God himself, a house not made by human hands. It lasts forever, waiting for us in heaven.

Simon Peter asked him, “Lord, where are you going?” Jesus answered, “You can’t follow me right now to where I’m going. But you will follow me later.”

We don’t have a lasting city here. Instead, we’re looking for the city that’s going to come.

I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God like a bride dressed beautifully for her husband.

and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the first to rise from the dead, the ruler over the kings of the earth. Jesus loves us and has set us free from our sins by his blood.

The Holy Spirit was showing us that God had not yet opened the way into the Most Holy Place as long as the first tent was there.

Then they will live in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began that he would give us.

God didn’t choose us to receive his anger but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I will show him how much he must suffer for me.”

“You heard me say, ‘I’m going away and I’m coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you’d be glad that I’m going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am.

“The servant came back and said, ‘Sir, what you ordered has been done, but there’s still room.’
