“I’m not talking about all of you. I know the ones I’ve chosen. But something is going to happen to make the passage of Scripture come true that says, ‘The one who shared my bread has turned against me.’

Jesus replied, “Someone who has dipped his hand into the same bowl with me is going to hand me over.

While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe through the name you gave me. Not one of them has been lost, except the one headed for destruction, so that Scripture would come true.

“It’s one of you,” Jesus replied, “one who has dipped his bread into the same bowl as me.

Jesus answered, “It’s the one I’ll give this piece of bread to after I’ve dipped it in the dish.” He dipped the bread in the dish and gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.

Then Jesus replied, “Haven’t I chosen you 12 disciples? But one of you is a devil!”

If you belonged to the world, it would love you as one of its own. But you don’t belong to the world. I’ve chosen you out of the world. That’s why the world hates you.

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. His eyes see everything, and he’ll hold us accountable for everything we do.

You didn’t choose me, I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit that would endure, so that you would receive from the Father anything you ask for in my name.

A man’s enemies will be the members of his own family.’

I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I’m the one who searches hearts and minds and that I pay each person back for what they’ve done.

Jesus said to him a third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” It made Peter sad that Jesus had asked him a third time, “Do you love me?” He answered, “Lord, you know all things. You know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my sheep.

The message we preach isn’t about ourselves. It’s about Jesus Christ as Lord, and about ourselves as your servants for his sake.

While they were eating, he said, “Truly I tell you, one of you is going to hand me over to my enemies.”

When evening came, Jesus arrived with the 12 disciples.

While they were at the table eating, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, one of you who is eating with me will hand me over to my enemies.”

But someone whose hand is with mine on the table is going to hand me over to my enemies.

After he’d said this, Jesus became distressed and said, “Truly I tell you, one of you is going to hand me over to my enemies.”

His disciples looked at one another. They didn’t have any idea which one of them he meant.

This has happened to make what’s written in their Law come true. It says, ‘They hated me without any reason.’

This happened so that what Jesus had said about how he was going to die would come true.

“Let’s not tear it in pieces,” they said to one another. “Let’s cast lots to see who will take it.” This happened so that the Scripture would come true that says, “They divided up my clothes among them, and they cast lots for what I was wearing.” So that’s what the soldiers did.

These things happened to make the Scripture come true that says, “Not one of his bones will be broken.”

up to the time when he was taken to heaven. Before he left, Jesus gave instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he’d chosen.

He said, “Brothers and sisters, the Scripture had to be fulfilled that the Holy Spirit spoke a long time ago through David about Judas Iscariot.
