I’ve given you an example. You should do as I have done for you.

Become my servants and learn from me. I’m gentle and humble, and you’ll find rest for your souls.

Anyone who claims to belong to him must live just as Jesus did.

This is what God wants you to do. Remember, Christ suffered for you, and he left you an example that he expects you to follow.

and follow the path of love. That’s what Christ did. He loved us and gave himself up for us as a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice to God.

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude toward one another that Christ Jesus had.

Don’t act like dictators towards those who are under your care. Instead, be good examples to the flock.
