When Jesus heard this, he said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory, so that God’s Son can receive glory because of it.”

The Word became human and made his home with us. We have seen his glory the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

None of our faces are covered with a veil. All of us can see and contemplate the Lord’s glory. So we’re being changed to become more and more glorious like him. All this comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

God said, “Let light shine out of darkness.” And he made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light we needed to know God’s glory, which is shown in the face of Christ.

Jesus answered, “This man didn’t sin, and his parents didn’t sin, either. He was born blind so that God’s power could be demonstrated through him.

Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus’ glory and spoke about him.

He answered, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

“ ‘If you can’?” asked Jesus. “Everything is possible for someone who believes!”

By being baptized, we were buried with Christ and joined him in death. But Christ has been raised from the dead by the Father’s glory, and like Christ we too can live a new life.
