Right after Jesus was baptized, as he was coming up out of the water, at that moment, heaven was opened and Jesus saw the Spirit of God coming down on him like a dove.
Then I saw heaven open up, and there was a white horse in front of me. Its rider is called Faithful and True. When he judges or fights a war, he’s always fair.
After this I looked, and I saw that the door to heaven was open. And I heard the voice that I’d heard before, the one that had sounded like a trumpet, saying, “Come up here, and I’ll show you what must happen after this.”
and he’ll give relief to you who are troubled and to us as well. All this will happen when the Lord Jesus appears from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels.
Without question, true godliness comes from this great mystery: Jesus came as a human being, and he was declared right with God by the Holy Spirit. He was seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, and taken up in glory.
Enoch, the seventh man in the family line of Adam, gave a prophecy about these people. He said, “Look! The Lord is coming with thousands and thousands of his holy ones.
Truly I tell you, anyone who believes in me will do the works that I’ve been doing. In fact, they’ll do even greater things, because I’m going to the Father.
The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him, but woe to the one who hands him over! It would have been better for him if he he’d never been born.”
Truly I tell you, when you were younger, you dressed yourself and went wherever you wanted to go. But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will dress you and lead you where you don’t want to go.”
Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, it isn’t Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, it’s my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven.
Jesus answered, “Truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself. He can do only what he sees his Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does,
But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the man who couldn’t walk, “Get up, take your mat, and go home.”
Then Jesus answered, “Will you really give your life for me? Truly I tell you, before the rooster crows early tomorrow morning, you’re going to say three times that you don’t know me!
Jesus answered, “Truly I tell you, you’re not looking for me because you saw the signs I did. You’re looking for me because you ate as much bread as you wanted.
