He replied, “Come and see.” So they went and saw where he was staying. They went at about four o’clock in the afternoon, and they spent the rest of the day with him.

But they tried to convince him not to leave. They said, “Stay with us, because it’s nearly evening and the day is almost over.” So he went in to stay with them.

When Jesus turned around and saw them following, he asked, “What do you want?” “Rabbi,” they answered, “where are you staying?” (Rabbi means Teacher.)

Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two disciples who heard what John said and followed Jesus.
