So now, Father, give me glory there with you, the glory I had with you before the world began.

He’s dressed in a robe that has been dipped in blood. His name is the Word of God.

Before anything was created, he was already there. He holds everything together,

The Word became human and made his home with us. We have seen his glory the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

I’m the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

He was with God in the beginning.

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God. “I am the God who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

He actually was God, but he didn’t take advantage of the fact that he was equal with God.

“The virgin is going to have a baby. She will give birth to a son, and he will be called Immanuel.” The name Immanuel means “God with us.”

He said to me, “It’s done. I’m the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. If anyone is thirsty, I’ll give them water for free from the spring of the water of life.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

We also know that the Son of God has come and given us understanding so that we can know the God who is true. And we are in the true God by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

Without question, true godliness comes from this great mystery: Jesus came as a human being, and he was declared right with God by the Holy Spirit. He was seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, and taken up in glory.

I came from the Father and entered the world. Now I’m leaving the world and going back to the Father.”

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he put his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid. I’m the First and the Last,

Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”

while we wait for Jesus Christ to appear in his glory. That is our blessed hope. Jesus is our great God and Savior.

Melchizedek has no father or mother or family line. His life has no beginning or ending. He remains a priest forever, like the Son of God.

“Write this to the angel of the church in Laodicea: The Amen speaks these words. He is the faithful and true witness, the ruler over God’s creation.

God has enabled me to explain to everyone how this mystery has become a reality. In times past it was kept hidden in the mind of God, who created all things.

This is a record of everything he saw, that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

So there are three witnesses about Jesus:

and the founders of our nation belong to them. The Messiah comes from their family line. He is God over all. May he be praised forever! Amen.

No one has ever seen God. But the One and Only, who is God and who is at the Father’s side, has made him known.

“Write this to the angel of the church in Smyrna: These are the words of the one who’s the First and the Last, who died and came to life again.

From Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ. To you who have received a faith as precious as ours and who have been made right with our God and Savior Jesus Christ.

The voice said, “Write what you see on a scroll and send it to the seven churches in Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”

Every day they were in the temple, praising God.

“Truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am.”

The Son is the exact likeness of God, who can’t be seen. The Son is the first, and he’s over all creation.
