If you really keep the royal law that’s found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as you love yourself,” you’ll be doing what’s right.

You can obey the entire law by following this one command: “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.”

Speak and act like people who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom,

And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’

Carry one another’s heavy loads, and in that way, you’ll fulfill the law of Christ.

But God chose you to be his own people, his royal priests, a holy nation, his special treasure. You’re all these things so that you can tell everyone how wonderful God is. He brought you out of darkness and into his marvelous light.

But if someone takes a good look at the perfect law that gives freedom, if they keep looking at it and don’t forget what they’ve heard but do it, then that person will be blessed in what they do.

We don’t need to write to you about your love for one another, because God himself has taught you to love one another.

But it was good of you to share in my troubles.

“His master replied, ‘You’ve done well, good and faithful slave! Because you’ve been faithful with a few things, I’m going to put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

Do you have faith that there’s one God? Good for you! Even the demons believe that, and they tremble!

In everything, do to others what you would want them to do to you. That sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Love never does anything wrong to a neighbor. Instead, love does all the good things the law requires.

My brothers and sisters, don’t say bad things about one another. Anyone who says something bad about a brother or sister is saying it about the law, and anyone who judges another believer is judging the law. When you judge the law, you’re not keeping it, you’re acting as if you were its judge.
