Jesus was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in God’s whole house.

They arranged to meet with Paul on a certain day. When it came, even more of the Jewish leaders went to the place where he was staying. From morning until evening, he told them about the kingdom of God. He used the Law of Moses and the Prophets to try to convince them about Jesus.

They serve at a sanctuary that’s a picture and shadow of what’s in heaven. That’s why God warned Moses when he was about to build the holy tent, “When you make everything, be sure to follow the pattern I showed you on the mountain.”

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord for giving me strength and for considering me faithful and appointing me to serve him.

Christ didn’t enter a sanctuary made with human hands that was only a copy of the true one. He entered heaven itself in order to appear before God on our behalf. He’s there right now.

But now we know we can be made right with God apart from the law, even though the Law and the Prophets are actually witnesses about this.

You study the Scriptures carefully because you think they will give you eternal life. The same Scriptures you study are also a witness about me.

Jesus said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you. Everything that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must come true.”

Jesus explained to them what was said about himself in all the Scriptures, beginning with Moses and all the Prophets.

Those who’ve been trusted with something must show that they’re dependable.

“This is the same Moses who said to the Israelites, ‘God will send you a prophet like me who will come from your own people.’

The Lord answered, “Suppose a master gives one of his servants the job of giving the other servants their food at the right time, as a faithful and wise manager.

“His master replied, ‘You’ve done well, good and faithful slave! Because you’ve been faithful with a few things, I’m going to put you in charge of many things. Come, share your master’s happiness!’

“Suppose a master puts one of his slaves in charge of the other slaves and tells him to give them their food at the right time. The master would want to choose a faithful and wise slave to do that.

In the past, God spoke to our people a little at a time in different ways through the prophets.

Every house is built by someone, but God has built everything.

and they sang the song of God’s servant Moses and of the Lamb. They sang, “Lord God Almighty, everything you do is great and amazing. King of the nations, your ways are true and fair.
