God, who made everything, wanted his many sons and daughters to share in his glory. He chose Jesus to be the one to lead them into their salvation, and he made him perfect through suffering so he could accomplish that.

Everything is from him and through him and for him. May God be given the glory forever! Amen.

And let’s keep looking to Jesus. He’s the one who leads us into faith and the one who makes our faith mature. Because of the joy he was looking forward to, he didn’t let the shame of being put to death on a cross stop him. He suffered on the cross, and then he sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

where Jesus has gone to open the way ahead of us. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.

God has lifted Jesus up and given him a place of honor at his right hand, making him Prince and Savior so he can turn Israel away from their sins and forgive them.

Didn’t the Messiah have to suffer these things and then receive his glory?”

After you’ve suffered for a little while, the God of all grace will restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast. He has called you to share in his eternal glory in Christ.

But for us there is only one God, the Father. All things came from him, and we live for him. And there is only one Lord, Jesus Christ. All things came through him and we live through him.

The law appoints men who are weak to be high priests. But after the law had been given, God swore an oath and appointed his Son, who has been made perfect forever.

But now God wants the rulers and authorities in the heavenly world to recognize his great wisdom, and he’s using the church to let them see it.

“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, because you created all things, and by your will they were created and came into existence.”

So I put up with everything for the good of God’s chosen people, so that they also can be saved through Christ Jesus, with glory that will last forever.

When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.

None of our faces are covered with a veil. All of us can see and contemplate the Lord’s glory. So we’re being changed to become more and more glorious like him. All this comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

What if he did this to show the riches of his glory to the people he had mercy on, the ones he’d prepared to receive his glory?

You killed the author of life—but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of that.

After this I looked, and I saw a huge crowd of people in front of me. They stood in front of the throne and in front of the Lamb. There were so many that no one could count them. They came from every nation, tribe, race, and language. They were wearing white robes and holding palm branches in their hands.

I want to appeal to the elders among you as someone who’s an elder himself. I also appeal to you as a witness of Christ’s sufferings and as someone who will share in the glory that’s going to be revealed.

The prophets were shown that they weren’t serving themselves. Instead, they were serving you when they spoke about the things that you’ve now heard from those who preached the good news to you with the help of the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

A high priest like him truly meets our needs. He’s holy, blameless, and pure, and he has been lifted up high above the heavens. He’s different from people who sin.

He did that to show for all time the riches of his grace, which can’t be compared with anything else. He demonstrated his grace by being kind to us because of what Christ Jesus has done.

And, “I’ll be a Father to you, and you’ll be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

All this is from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ and gave us the task of bringing others back to him. God wants us to let them know that

Our troubles are small and they last only for a short time, but they’re earning a glory for us that will last forever. That glory outweighs all our troubles.

No, we share God’s wisdom, which is a mystery that has been hidden until now. But before time began, God planned that this wisdom would bring us heavenly glory.

After Jesus drank it, he said, “It is finished.” Then he bowed his head and died.

and not only for that nation, but for God’s children scattered everywhere. Jesus’ death would bring them together and make them one.

He replied, “Go and tell that fox, ‘Today and tomorrow I will keep on driving out demons and healing people, and on the third day I will reach my goal.’

“Glory to God in the highest heaven! Peace on earth to all those he wants to bless!”
