By faith Moses kept the Passover Feast. He commanded the people of Israel to sprinkle blood on their doorways so that the destroying angel wouldn’t kill their oldest sons.
Moses first announced every command of the law to all the people. Then he took the blood of calves, together with water, bright red wool, and branches from a hyssop plant, and he sprinkled the Book of the Covenant and all the people.
God the Father knew you ahead of time, and he chose to make you pure and holy through the Spirit’s work. Then you would obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with his blood to make you holy. May more and more grace and peace be given to you.
You’ve come to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks better things than the blood of Abel, which cried out from the ground for revenge.
