Brothers and sisters, if I’m preaching that people have to be circumcised, then why am I getting so much resistance? If I were preaching that, then no one would be offended that they had to trust only in what Jesus did for them on the cross.

but we preach about Christ and his death on the cross. That’s very hard for Jews to accept, and Gentiles think it’s foolish.

The people who are trying to get you to be circumcised want others to be impressed with them. They don’t want to suffer for saying that we have to depend entirely on the cross of Christ.

You foolish Galatians! Who cast a spell on you? When I preached, I showed you clearly that Jesus Christ had been nailed to the cross.
