You foolish Galatians! Who cast a spell on you? When I preached, I showed you clearly that Jesus Christ had been nailed to the cross.

But just as Eve’s mind was tricked by the snake’s clever lies, I’m afraid that your minds will also be led astray somehow from your true and pure love for Christ.

‘But I hold you responsible for this. You’re tolerating that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. She has led my servants into sexual sin by her teaching and she has tricked them into eating food offered to idols.

I’m amazed that after such a short time, you’re abandoning the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ. You’re turning to a different “good news”—

It’s time for judgment to begin with God’s household. And if it begins with us, what will happen to people who don’t obey the good news of God?

They speak empty, bragging words. By appealing to lust and desire, they tempt new believers who are just escaping from others who are living wrong.

By faith Abraham obeyed God and went to the place he would later receive as his own. He did that even though he didn’t know where he was going when God told him to start on his way there.

Then we won’t be babies in the faith anymore. We won’t be like ships tossed around by the waves and blown here and there by every new teaching. We won’t be fooled by the tricks that people use to hide their real plans.

But now you do know God. Even better, God knows you. So why are you turning back to those weak and worthless powers? Do you want to be slaves to them all over again?

Are you so foolish? You began by the Spirit; are you now trying to finish by your own efforts?

You’ve made yourselves pure by obeying the truth. Now, you have an honest and true love for each other. So love one another deeply from your hearts.

Once he had been made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.

So be very careful how you live. Don’t live as people who aren’t wise; live as people who are wise.

He’ll punish those who don’t know God and who don’t obey the good news about our Lord Jesus.

I’m less than the least of all the Lord’s people. But he gave me the grace to preach to the Gentiles about the unlimited riches that Christ gives.

every argument and every arrogant assumption that keeps people from knowing God. They take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ.

But not all the people of Israel accepted the good news. Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?”

Jesus said to them, “How foolish you are! How long it takes you to believe all that the prophets said!

False messiahs and false prophets will appear, and they’ll do great signs and miracles. They’ll even try to trick God’s chosen people if they can.

Everyone who hears my words but doesn’t put them into practice is like a foolish person who built a house on the sand.

Paul and his group traveled all through the area of Phrygia and Galatia, looking for a place to stop and preach the word. But the Holy Spirit didn’t let them stop there, or farther west in the province of Asia, either.

Brothers and sisters, if I’m preaching that people have to be circumcised, then why am I getting so much resistance? If I were preaching that, then no one would be offended that they had to trust only in what Jesus did for them on the cross.
