Masters, treat your slaves with the same kind of respect. Don’t threaten them, because you know that God, who is their Master and yours, is in heaven. He doesn’t let people get away with things just because of their positions.

Someone who was a slave when the Lord called them is now serving the Lord as a free person. But it’s just as true that someone who was free when God called them is now a slave of Christ.

Then the master will cut him to pieces and send him to the same place where hypocrites go, where people will weep and grind their teeth.

But suppose the slave is a bad person and he says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time. I can do whatever I want.’

So the slaves went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good. Soon the wedding hall was filled with guests.

“Then the king said to his slaves, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but the people I invited didn’t deserve to come.

Masters, give your slaves what is right and fair, because you know that you also have a Master in heaven.
