The prophets were shown that they weren’t serving themselves. Instead, they were serving you when they spoke about the things that you’ve now heard from those who preached the good news to you with the help of the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

We’re not fighting against human beings, but against the rulers, authorities, and powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly world.

No, we share God’s wisdom, which is a mystery that has been hidden until now. But before time began, God planned that this wisdom would bring us heavenly glory.

God’s wisdom and knowledge are so profoundly rich! We can’t understand how he reaches such wise decisions! We can’t figure out how he deals with people so well!

There Christ is far above all rulers and authorities, governors and kings, and every name that people call on, in this world and in the world to come.

May the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ be praised! He has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing from heaven.

But to everyone God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is God’s power and God’s wisdom.

He has now gone into heaven, and he’s at God’s right hand, with angels, authorities, and powers under his control.

All things were created in him: everything in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, all kings, powers, rulers, and authorities; all things have been created by him and for him.

Without question, true godliness comes from this great mystery: Jesus came as a human being, and he was declared right with God by the Holy Spirit. He was seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, and taken up in glory.

on us so richly! With great wisdom and understanding,

I’m convinced that nothing will ever be able to separate us from God’s love—not death or life, angels or demons, the present or the future, and no powers,

The church is Christ’s body, and he fills it as he fills everything in every way.

Because you belong to Christ, you have been made complete. He is the ruler over every power and authority.

Jesus disarmed the spiritual powers and authorities of this world and publicly defeated them by dying on the cross.
