So he gave us new life because of what Christ has done, even when we were dead in our sins. God’s grace has saved you.

That’s why the promise comes by faith, so that it can be based on God’s grace and be guaranteed to all of Abraham’s children. That means not only those who are his children under the law, but also those who are Abraham’s children because have the same faith that he did. He is the father of us all.

So faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the preaching about Christ.

They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and then you and everyone living in your house will be saved.”

Everyone the Father gives me will come to me, and I’ll never turn any of them away.

“Truly I tell you, whoever who hears my word and believes in the one who sent me has eternal life. They will not be judged, because they have crossed over from death into life.

Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”

Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved, but anyone who doesn’t believe will be condemned.

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever who does not obey the Son will not see life, because God’s anger remains on them.

But if, rather than working, people trust in God who makes ungodly people right with himself, their faith makes them right with God.

God made us with his own hands through Christ Jesus for good works, and long ago he prepared them for us as a way of life.

But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised could be given through faith in Jesus Christ to those who believe.

Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin. Moses’ law cannot make you right in God’s eyes.

He set us free so that the blessing that was given to Abraham would come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus. That way by faith we would receive the promised Holy Spirit.

My Father wants everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him to have eternal life. And I will raise them up on the last day.”

Then Jesus said, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

and the great power of God that’s at work in us as believers. That power can’t be compared with anything else. It’s the same mighty strength

When they arrived in Antioch, they gathered the church together and told everything that God had done through them. They shared how he had opened a way for the Gentiles to believe.

He went on to say, “That’s why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father grants that.”

When you were baptized, you were buried together with Christ, and you were raised to life with him by believing in the work that God did when he raised Jesus from the dead.

“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me attracts them. Then I will raise them up on the last day.

Through faith you are protected by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that will be revealed in the end.

You’ve been given the privilege, for the sake of Christ, not only of believing in him but also of suffering for him.

But how can they call on someone they haven’t believed in? How can they believe in someone they’ve never heard of? How can they hear about him unless someone preaches to them?

Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon, son of Jonah! No mere human showed that to you, but my Father in heaven.

One of the women who listened to us was named Lydia. She was from the city of Thyatira, and she had a business selling purple cloth. She already believed in God, and the Lord opened her heart to accept Paul’s message.

They’ll be destroyed forever and be shut out of heaven, and they’ll never see the glory of the Lord’s strength.

No! We believe we are saved through the grace of our Lord Jesus and that the Gentiles are saved in the same way.”

So it doesn’t depend on what people want or what they do. It depends on God’s mercy.

If a person falls away from the faith after seeing the light, tasting the gift from heaven, sharing in the Holy Spirit,
