Christ is the one we preach about. With all the wisdom we have, we warn and teach everyone so that when we bring them to God, they will be like Christ. We want them to be mature in Christ.

That way he could present her to himself as a radiant church that had no stain or wrinkle or any other flaw, but was holy and blameless.

So be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Let the message about Christ live among you richly as you teach and correct one another with great wisdom. Sing psalms and hymns and songs from the Spirit to God with gratitude in your hearts.

However, when we speak to those who are mature in the faith, we do share our wisdom. But it’s not the wisdom of this world or its rulers, who are fading away.

But through Christ’s death, God has brought you back to himself and made you holy in his own sight. So now you don’t have any flaws and you’re free from blame.

I’m jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, Christ, to give you to him like a pure virgin bride.

The message we preach isn’t about ourselves. It’s about Jesus Christ as Lord, and about ourselves as your servants for his sake.

So be on your guard! Remember that for three years, I never stopped warning each of you as I wept over you night and day.

Then Philip told him the good news about Jesus, starting with that same part of Scripture.

By that one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

But a leader must have a good reputation. He must be faithful to his wife. He must be restrained, self-controlled, and worthy of respect. He must welcome people into his home, and he must be able to teach.

Because you belong to Christ, you have been made complete. He is the ruler over every power and authority.

To one person, the Spirit gives a message of wisdom. To another, the same Spirit gives a message of knowledge.

I’m less than the least of all the Lord’s people. But he gave me the grace to preach to the Gentiles about the unlimited riches that Christ gives.

That area includes you, so I’m not going too far in my bragging, as I would be if I hadn’t come to where you live. But I did get there with the good news about Christ.

But since we do preach that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that no one rises from the dead?

Because of what God has done, you belong to Christ Jesus. He has become God’s wisdom for us. He makes us right with God, he makes us holy, and he sets us free.

I will give you words and wisdom that none of your enemies will be able to challenge or contradict.

But the person who does have the Spirit can make judgments about everything, though no human being can judge them. It is written,

but we preach about Christ and his death on the cross. That’s very hard for Jews to accept, and Gentiles think it’s foolish.

God is able to strengthen you through the good news, which is the message I preach about Jesus Christ. There was a mystery that had been kept hidden for a very long time.

He explained and proved that the Messiah had to suffer and rise from the dead. “This Jesus I’m telling you about is the Messiah!” he said.

You know the message that God sent to the people of Israel. It’s the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.

He began right away to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.

Philip went down to a city in Samaria and preached there about the Messiah.

Every day they continued to teach, both standing in the temple courtyards and going from house to house. They never stopped telling people the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.

He will send Jesus, who is the Messiah he has appointed for you.

When Jesus came ashore, he found a large crowd. He felt deep concern for them because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began to teach them many things.

Teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And you can be sure that I will always be with you, to the very end of the age.”

But when he saw many Pharisees and Sadducees coming to be baptized, John said to them, “You little snakes! Who warned you to try to escape the punishment that’s coming?

Remember that while our Lord is waiting patiently to return, people are being saved. Our dear brother Paul also wrote to you about this with the wisdom that God gave him.

supply you with everything good so that you can do his will. May he create in us what is pleasing to him through Jesus Christ. And may Jesus receive glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Without question, true godliness comes from this great mystery: Jesus came as a human being, and he was declared right with God by the Holy Spirit. He was seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, and taken up in glory.

None of you should sin against your brother or sister by doing that. You shouldn’t take advantage of your brother or sister. The Lord will punish everyone who commits sins like those. We’ve already told you and warned you about that.

I’m not writing this to make you ashamed, but to warn you as my dear children.

“My friends, here’s what I want you to know. I announce to you that your sins can be forgiven because of what Jesus has done.

But other believers from Cyprus and Cyrene went to Antioch and began to speak to Greeks also. They told them the good news about the Lord Jesus.

A group of Epicurean and Stoic thinkers began to argue with him. Some of them asked, “What is this person blabbing on about?” Others said, “He seems to be talking about gods we’ve never heard of.” They said this because Paul was preaching the good news about Jesus and saying that he’d risen from the dead.

All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in him.
