and last of all he also appeared to me, as if I’d been born almost too late to see him.

“I had almost reached Damascus when about noon a bright light from heaven suddenly flashed around me.

The city doesn’t need the sun or moon to shine on it, because God’s glory is its light and the Lamb is its lamp.

God is the only one who can’t die. He lives in light that no one can approach. No one has seen him and no one can see him. Honor and power belong to him forever. Amen.

There will be no more night. They won’t need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, because the Lord God will give them light. And they will rule for ever and ever.

So Ananias went over to the house and went in. He placed his hands on Saul and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here has sent me. He wants you to see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

But Barnabas brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul had seen the Lord while on his journey and how the Lord had spoken to him. Barnabas also explained that in Damascus Saul had preached without fear in Jesus’ name.

Aren’t I free? Aren’t I an apostle? Haven’t I seen Jesus our Lord? Aren’t you the result of my work for the Lord?
