Moses was with the Israelites in the desert, with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our people of long ago. He received living words to pass on to us.
By this time, you should be teachers, but instead you need someone to teach you the basic truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food.
If anyone speaks, they should do it as someone who’s speaking God’s own words. If anyone serves, they should do it with the strength that God provides. That way God will be praised in all things through Jesus Christ. May he receive the glory and power for ever and ever. Amen.
The word of God is alive and active. It’s even sharper than any sword that has two edges. It penetrates deep inside us, to where the bones meet the joints and where the soul meets the spirit, until it reveals the thoughts and intentions of our hearts.
Then why was the law given at all? It was added because of human sin. It was supposed to control us until the promised Seed came. The law was given through angels, and a mediator was put in charge of it.
They’ve been adopted as God’s children. God’s glory belongs to them, and so do the covenants. They received the law and they were taught to worship in the temple. They were given the promises,
“This is the same Moses those men of Israel rejected by saying, ‘Who made you a ruler and judge?’ But God himself sent Moses to rule the people of Israel and set them free when he spoke to him through the angel who appeared in the bush.
