Crowds even gathered from the towns around Jerusalem. They brought those who were sick and those who were suffering because of evil spirits, and they were all healed.

So confess your sins to one another and pray for one another so that you will be healed. The prayer of a godly person is very powerful, and great things happen because of it.

Stretch out your hand to heal, and do signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

Truly I tell you, anyone who believes in me will do the works that I’ve been doing. In fact, they’ll do even greater things, because I’m going to the Father.

But the crowds found out about it and went there too. Jesus welcomed them, spoke to them about God’s kingdom, and healed those who were sick.

One day when Jesus was teaching, some Pharisees and teachers of the law were among those sitting there and listening to him. They’d come from every village in Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem. The power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick.

When evening came, many people controlled by demons were brought to Jesus. He drove out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick.

News about him spread all over Syria, and they brought him everyone who was ill with any kind of sicknesses. Some were suffering great pain, while others were controlled by demons. Some were shaking wildly, and others couldn’t move at all. Jesus healed every one of them.

To another the same Spirit gives faith, and to another gifts of healing.

When Herod realized that the wise men had tricked him, he became very angry. He gave orders to kill all the boys two years old and younger who were living in Bethlehem and the area around it. This was because the wise men had first seen the star two years earlier.

People brought those who were sick into the streets on beds and mats. They were hoping that Peter’s shadow might at least touch some of them as he walked by.

The high priest and his friends, who were all Sadducees, were jealous of the apostles.

They had all come to hear Jesus and to be healed of their sicknesses. People who were troubled by evil spirits were made well,
