Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. The church respected and obeyed the Lord and was encouraged by the Holy Spirit, and it grew even larger.

and asked him to write letters to the synagogues in Damascus. If he found any men and women there who belonged to the Way of Jesus, the letters would allow him to take them as prisoners to Jerusalem.

But when Philip announced the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, many men and women believed and were baptized.

But Saul began to destroy the church. He went from house to house and dragged out men and women and put them in prison.

So God’s word kept spreading. The number of disciples in Jerusalem grew quickly, and a large number of priests began to obey Jesus’ teachings.

But many of the people who heard their message put their trust in Jesus. The total number of men who were believers grew to about 5,000.

Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about 3,000 people became believers that day.

How can Christ and Satan agree? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?
