His father was sick in bed with fever and dysentery, so Paul went in to see him and pray for him. He placed his hands on him and healed him.

Peter sent them all out of the room, and then he got down on his knees and prayed. He turned toward the dead woman and said, “Tabitha, get up!” She opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

He couldn’t do any miracles there except place his hands on a few sick people and heal them.

They’ll pick up snakes with their hands, and if they drink deadly poison, it won’t hurt them at all. When they will place their hands on sick people, the sick will get well.”

While Jesus was saying this, a synagogue leader came and got down on his knees in front of Jesus. He said, “My daughter has just died. But if you come and place your hand on her, she will live again.”

God has placed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, guiding, and speaking in different kinds of languages.

To another the same Spirit gives faith, and to another gifts of healing.

Heal the sick, bring the dead back to life, make those who have skin diseases clean again, and drive out demons. You have received freely, so give freely.

Jesus called for his 12 disciples and gave them authority to drive out demons and heal every kind of disease and sickness.

Then he put his hands on her, and right away she stood up straight and praised God.

At sunset, people brought to Jesus everyone who was sick. He placed his hands on each one and healed them.

There some people brought a man to Jesus who was deaf and could hardly speak. They begged Jesus to place his hands on the man.

and begged him, “My little daughter is dying. Please come and place your hands on her to heal her, and then she’ll live.”

Then Jesus said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out, and it became as good as new, just as strong as the other hand.

Publius, the chief official on the island, owned some property nearby, and he welcomed us into his home. For three days he kindly took care of us.

Then the rest of the sick people on the island came, and they too were healed.
