But the Jews objected, so I had to make an appeal to Caesar. I didn’t mean to bring any charge against my own people.

Agrippa said to Festus, “This man could have been set free if he hadn’t appealed to Caesar.”

I’ve found that he hasn’t done anything worthy of death. But he has made an appeal to the Emperor, so I’ve decided to send him to Rome.

But he made an appeal to have Emperor Nero decide his case. So I ordered him to be held until I could send him to Caesar.”

Afterwards Jesus made the disciples get right into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side of the lake while he said goodbye to the crowd.
