A few days later King Agrippa and Bernice came to Caesarea to welcome Festus.
Agrippa said to Paul, “You may now speak for yourself.” So Paul, gesturing with his hands, began to present his case.
Philip was seen next at Azotus. From there he traveled all around, preaching the good news in every town until he arrived in Caesarea.
They pretended to greet him the way they would Caesar: “Hail, king of the Jews!”
Three days after Festus arrived, he went up from Caesarea to Jerusalem.
Festus answered, “Paul is being held at Caesarea, and I’ll be going there soon myself.
Festus talked this over with the members of his court. Then he said, “You have appealed to Caesar. To Caesar you will go!”
